Free fuel week has started at Farmville. To get your free fuel, you’ll need to open up the Farmville game each day of the week. You can get a total of five tanks during free fuel week. So come back each weekday for more. By logging in today, I already got my first tank.
For information on how using fuel works, check out my article on fuel.

Happy New Years everyone! Farmers will be welcomed to the farm today with the ball drop and an interesting freebie. Everyone gets a free level up. If you don’t have a new years ball, supposedly you can buy it in the market. However, I wasn’t able to find it in there.
Also note that January 4th starts “Free fuel week” at Farmville. More details on that to be posted soon.

Once you purchase a tractor, harvester, or seeder, you’ll learn about the lovely ways of fuel. However, if you have a large farm like the more experienced players, you’ll quickly learn that one tank of fuel is not enough to even plow all your plots. You could purchase 1 fuel refill for 3 FV cash. Or you could just wait until later in the day for your tank to replenish on its own.
Up until today, I had not experienced refueling in Farmville. Like most people, I wasn’t willing to spend my hard earned Farmville cash on something that could be replenished if I just waited long enough.
But again, like many people, I received a lot of free fuel from the holiday gifts Farmville gave us under the Holiday Tree. So I thought I’d give you an explanation on how the refueling process works.
First, you’ll likely have this fuel in your gift box. Fuel refills typically come in sets of 1, 5, or 10 tanks from the holiday freebies.

You do not have to be low on fuel before you can add a tank to your gas gauge. You can start ‘using’ your tanks from your gift box and adding them to your fuel gauge even when you don’t intend to use them. The tanks will then stay there until they are used. Below is a shot of the gas gauge after I used one of the 5 fuel refills. Note the little “+5.”

Once you use up the currently active tank, you’ll then be switched to the next tank automatically. So be sure to keep an eye on the fuel gauge. But the process of adding tanks should not waste any gas for you. I suggest you add all of your fuel to the gauge now, rather than letting it sit in your gift box. Don’t spend all that fuel in one day!
